We probably had an upgrade as the room was much bigger than I expected, with a little separate kitchen. The position was great for using the public transport. All the staff there were very friendly and helpful. There is a fantastic bread shop just around the corner which also did pizza and hot dishes at lunchtime, calle 'Non solo pane', I can't recommend it highly enough? If/when we return to Messina, we would happily stay there.

Hotel has an excellent location near the town center. Good parking options. Beautiful and stylish rooms. Very kind, helpful and pleasant staff. Rooms were always clean, beds were soo dreamy and comfortable, breakfast in swedish-tables style - so tasty. Overall - we've enjoyed our stay so much! Many thanks from Slovakia 😊

Great Period Hotel in excellent City Location. Staff were always helpful and ready to assist us. Only blemish, is the size of the shower (very small) but this is common in Sicily. However Sicily is now the new “Go to Destination” in Europe, if not on the planet, so larger showers would be a wonderful and welcome addition for future visitors from all over the world.

Huge room with glorious floor tiles and painted ceiling. Large comfortable bed. There was a fridge and a kettle which was great. The staff were very friendly. The location was perfect, we had 2 balconies onto the street but the room was very quiet. Loved the slightly faded elegance of the hotel. It would almost be a shame to modernise it! We would definitely stay there again.

Great location, close to train station and ferry, in the city center. Our room (Junior Suite) was spacious. It was just a bit dark because not much daylight gets in. But we were out the whole day anyway, so that was fine. Staff was friendly.

Fabulous hotel. So nice to stay in a real staffed hotel in this age of AirBNB. Very clean premises, comfortable bed. Nice breakfast area and excellent breakfast foods. Room was spectacular - large bedroom, good bathroom, kitchenette, and a large sitting room with couch and large work table. Good location - easy walk to and from train station and ferry terminal.

Good size room, and lounge. Very friendly and welcoming from staff. Good selection of foods for breakfast. Reasonable distance from main railway station.

We had a lovely, huge corner room with a terrazzo floor and two lots of shuttered doors opening on to an L shaped balcony with a distant sea view. The breakfast was great, with lots of options, the chocolate croissants were especially fresh and yummy We have been staying in hotels in the old part of Sicilian town centres and were pleased to see this one has a lift, some don't. It was exceptional value for money.
